Indie-Pop Band Otto Releases New EP “Still Picture You”

When I hear Detroit I’ll usually think of Eminem or J Dilla, but upcoming indie-pop band out of Detroit, Otto, just came out with their latest EP and it’s definitely building the foundation of what could be a fresh new sound out of the well known rap scene. The EP titled Still Picture You consists of five songs and they each bring their own infectious energy to the project, you have tracks reminiscent of 70’s pop with When I Really Saw You, or more modern sounding disco influenced songs like Stop Time.

The versatility Otto brings with this project is something that’s hard to find nowadays, but their ability to do so while still maintaining such polished sound and sense of identity is really what sets them apart in my eyes. If you read modrNation you know it’s typically a hiphop focused publication, so don’t take it lightly when we choose to cover something out of the genre. With that being said, this Otto project is really something special and I definitely recommend you give it a listen below.
